What is Nevidio canyoning?
Nevidio is a narrow gorge on the Komarnica river, at the foot of Durmitor. Its name means “the invisible one”, because for a long time nobody could get through it, and it was first fully explored only in 1965.
Canyoning means following the river downstream on foot and in the water. You swim through deep pools, slide down smooth rock, jump into the water and abseil down short waterfalls, all with a wetsuit, helmet and harness and a certified canyoning guide by your side.
In places the walls are only a few metres apart and the light barely reaches the water. Depending on the water level and the group, the whole adventure takes 3–5 hours.
